Hennepin County Medical Center – HCEC Connections

Share Project:

Corval was the general contractor in charge of connecting the new Clinical Specialty Center’s heating and cooling system to HCMC’s existing central heating and cooling distribution plant and system, including high-pressure steam piping, and running through the hospital’s interstitial space before dropping down the CSC tunnel. We performed the 12” chilled water hot taps on the live central chilled water lines with no interruption to the hospital’s water. The project scope included piping, insulation, excavation, concrete (sidewalks and mechanical vault), scaffolding, fireproofing, and structural steel.
