Corval Group was the General Contractor for the construction of a 119 MW coal-fired power plant. The boiler and structural steel were salvaged form an existing plant in South Africa. The steam turbine generator was salvaged from a plant in South Korea. Corval refurbished equipment and materials for use in the new plant and added a modern air quality control system.
When constructed the Hardin Generating Plant was the cleanest coal burning plant in Montana and the first pulverized coal plant built in Montana in over 20 years. The project recognized by Governor of Montana for more than 1,000,000 man-hours without a lost time accident
