Corval Group was the EPC for the nation’s first plasma-based gasification process to recycle chemical waste. Dow Corning Corporation utilized Integrated Environmental Technologies Plasma-Based Waste Recycling System to convert more than 6600 tons per year of liquid hazardous waste and produce 12 million pounds of hydrochloric acid (HCl) and 10.5 million BTU per hour of clean synthesis gas. These products are delivered back to Dow Corning for use as raw materials within their process and remove the need for off-site removal and incineration of hazardous waste.
