Totino-Grace High School – Chilled Beams

Share Project:

Corval was general contractor for the mechanical system renovation at Totino-Grace High School. The project added chilled beams in the classrooms, a new chiller and dry cooler, a new air handling unit for the chilled beams, and new controls/automation, along with upgraded classroom lighting and kitchen ventilation system. The project also provided a new ceiling grid in classroom areas and corridors.
For this occupied renovation, disruption avoidance measures included phasing classroom renovations, and dust containment for the safety of construction personnel, and Totino-Grace faculty, staff, and students. Crews worked nights and weekends during the school year to further minimize disruptions.
Corval also provided engineering and commissioning, and self-performed structural steel, mechanical, and air & water balance scopes. The system performance (heating and cooling) and new lighting controls have garnered excellent feedback from the customer.
